Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Washington Mystics signed free agent center Michelle Snow on Thursday.
Snow, a 10-year veteran, has career averages of 9.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 334 games with the Houston Comets, Atlanta Dream, San Antonio Silver Stars and the Chicago Sky.
Last season with the Sky, Snow averaged 5.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and ranked fifth in the league with 1.3 blocks per game. She is currently eighth among the WNBA's all-time block leaders with 350.
"We are excited to have Michelle join the Mystics," Washington general manager and head coach Trudi Lacey said. "She will add depth, size and experience to our post game. Her presence in the post will definitely help us as we make a push to return to the playoffs in 2012."
Washington will open its 2012 campaign on May 19 against the Sky.
