United releases Carroll

Washington, D.C. (Sports Network) - D.C. United announced the club has waived midfielder Jeff Carroll. The 24-year-old made two first team appearances for D.C over three seasons with the club.
"Jeff always represented this club well," United General Manager Dave Kasper said. "We thank him for his efforts and wish him well moving forward."
